Good going, Shari, my dear... Even tho you aren't a Mod on the forum I will designate you our official 'off topic cop'!
From now on when our minds have gone out for that second martini (shaken, not stirred) and we start to stray off topic, you can swoop down like an aavenging angel and send us BACK where we belong!!!
OMG.. what have I done?????

hey chris,
i've glanced at this before but guess i haven't paid enough attention since i've always assumed it was an old, closed issue. for some reason i'd never looked to see which knife you chose, i think i thought your review of the amazon was related to this, but just reread it and realized that's not the case. i can't seem to find a review or posting that mentions which one you selected, so i'm kind of assuming this is still open. i also can't seem to find a vote option, so thought i'd just toss in my two cents worth.
i've got a benchmade mel pardue (3550) that is a great knife, only problem is that the stilleto design is not that great for an everyday use type of knife. i guess that's one strike against the piranha, since it's a similar design. also, i was looking at the benchmade presidio a few weeks ago. nice knife, if you like knives that big, but the handle was a problem for me. it was great as far as getting a grip, but i could see where it would eat up your pocket if you used the clip. the piranha has a very similar design, with the teeth or ridges on it. they make it easy to hold, but really chew up your pocket when you bring it out.
i've read your review on the amazon and it sounds like piranha makes a great knife, but given those issues mentioned above i'd have to cast a vote for the benchmade (if your still taking them). if you've already closed this and gotten one of them, help a dumbass out and direct me toward your review.
thanks,

I' m with you, Butch. For an EDC with a sharp blade and good looks to boot, I prefer the Buck autos any day. But for somethin really rugged that I'm not afraid of really giving beating, I'll take the Benchmades. IMO those are the two best brands of autos out there...
