I caught this in a recent edition of, of all places Popular Science
in their "whats hot" section -

Benchmade has a convertible assisted opening called the "Apparition" -
it can go from assisted opening to manual with a simple removal of
a spring ( kinda steep - $140 Exclamation

)

I'm gonna see if Cam has one at BladeHQ

edit : He doesn't have the Apparition, but I like that SOG Flash Search
& Rescue!

That 'Apparition' sounds like an interesting knife and for a Bench the price isn't really out of line. However, if I was buying another Bench, I'd still want a full auto... Wink
