Got my new Boker Top Lock back from the e-bay vendor complete with a new kickass spring installed. Oh mamma, the sucker almost jumps out of my hand when I push the button.
Can't complain about the service, he treated me right.
I've gotta stop with the knives for a bit, I'm Jonesen for a new amp. Something else that I just can't live without (it's a sickness, really) _________________ I'm running out of time....must buy more toys before I go. |

Jonsey, glad you like the Toplock. BTW, what kind of amp are you planning to buy? Just curious...

Picker - got the hots for a custom speaker enclosure for my Blues Jr. Want to get a 2-10" combo cabinet. Found a source on the Fender forum for a natural wood (very cool looking) box.
If not that a Dr Z Ghia might be in my future - if my wife doesn't kill me first. _________________ I'm running out of time....must buy more toys before I go. |

Around here, it seems that knives and guitars (pickers) go together. How come? _________________ "If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it." |

Jonesey, sounds like a nice setup. I had a Fender back in the 60s, but spent most of the last 10 yrs or so that I had a band punching strings thru a Peavy w/a 3TS 10-12 cabinet. Now that I'm 'retired' I do most of my pickin' acoustic and when I don't I use a small - but punchy - Crate.

Back in the early sixtys, I also had a Fender, JazzMaster that is. Getting rid of that was one of my more stupid events. _________________ "If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it." |

All I have to do is copy that and say, 'yep - that makes two of us...'

That makes three of us!!!!! About a million years ago I had a Guild Starfire that had major problems with the binding so I took it to the factory in Hoboken, NJ - then I went to the music store where I bought the thing and they GAVE me a Jazzmaster for my troubles.
I used that guitar for years and then traded it for something ( I can't remember what) that wasn't worth a 10th of the Jazzmaster value. Can you say "braindead?" Remember the 60's?
Anyway, I guess since I got it for free it didn't have that much value for me.
Today it would be worth a gazillion bucks and I'd have to keep it in a glass case.
Damn, I wish I had a time machine!!!!! _________________ I'm running out of time....must buy more toys before I go. |
