Some questions that I need help with.
1.Some of you guys are posting good quality pics right on your post. Do you use the copy paste method with the img taskbar at top? Exactly how do you do it? Also, does that image have to be a certain format and under a certain size, i.e. like the avatars? I have two good photo programs, but can't seem to resize photos without losing a lot of quality.
2. What do the taskbars Code, List, and List= do exactly?

Thanks for any helpful advice Very Happy . I'd like to be able to post pics right on the thread instead of URLing them to yahoo photos. I keep trying, will keep trying, but my first suspicion is that it has something to do with the file size.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

E.W.

naw EW, there is a thread in feedback about photos, and the system just isn't in place after the re-vamp. Sad the guys posting pics are doing so through photobucket accts. hopefully someday we'll be able to post them again.

E.W. - I use photobucket or hunt101 to host my pics. The best way is to first downsize the photos so as not to take up too much space on the bb.
I usually shoot for around 100 kb.
1) resize photos in your 'My Photos' file - I rename the resized pictures something like 'e-pictrees.jpg'
2) upload pics to hosting service
3) highlight URL and 'cntrl c' to copy
4) return to posting box....hit Img then 'cntrl v' to paste and Img again
The posting line will look something like this:

Right now, you need an outside web-based photo account like photobucket or villagephotos. You used to be able to post photos as attachments to your posts, but when the BladePlay sites were updated that feature was dropped. It may be a while before that feature returns.

In the meantime, Butch and I (and maybe some others) have photo accounts. I'd be happy to post some pics for you, and I'm pretty sure Butch would be, too. For now, that's pretty much how it's done. I may try to open up a section of my villagephotos account where the BladePlay folks can just access it and post their own photos. I'm still working on it. Cool

Very Happy Thanks for the fast replies, Gator, Jarvis, butch, and edgyguy! Cool
I follow you.
But, one more question. . . . can't yahoo photos perform the same way as a Photobucket, etc? I'm gonna try a few things with the info I just got. Thanks again gentlemen, and . . . er. . . edgyguy. Wink Rolling Eyes

I tried accessing your Yahoo! photos and posting from there, but I had no luck. Maybe you'll do better......

You'll probably find that Yahoo won't let you just use the pic (hot-link) ... they like to advertise while they show your pics to someone else.. that's why people use other hosting services.. they allow you to post just the pic and not the whole page..

All the best
Teddy

EW... I can second that emotion! I get damn tired of being hit constantly with ads - and Yahoo is one of the worst. I suspect AOL ('arsenovas on line') is worse, tho I wouldn't touch them with a 10-foot pole... (If I had a 10-foot pole, that is...LOL) Rolling Eyes
